Warcraft, Selfies and…DuckTales?

War Selfies?

So Blizzard has seen fit to add a new toy to Warcraft this week, the S.E.L.F.I.E. Camera. It’s gimmicky, stupid but also kind of fun, much like selfies in real life. I of course indulged myself in a quick snap when I got the new toy last night. I figured I would share. As you’ll see there are still issues such as the words “Screen Captured” but you know, I’ll live with it if I have to. Maybe it will be the new “duckface” selfie that’s so idiotic and pervasive.

I have a feeling I won’t be the first person to do this and I’m sure it will annoy the internet like crazy but I think I’ll be doing a series of selfie shots. I was already working on doing some screen shots to work into my blog, so I figure why the hell not make it a selfie theme? I might as well jump on the bandwagon and do a selfie gallery, Warcraft Style, while it’s still fresh!

DuckTales Are The Best Tales!

On a completely different note, DuckTales!

If you don’t know what that is and you don’t think you would enjoy a super rich Scottish duck going on crazy adventures with his nephews then you might as well get the fuck off my page. DuckTales is the shit. It has been a comic for decades; it has had world changing affects from manga to science. If you don’t like DuckTales you should at least respect it. I fell in love with it as a kid in the 80s when Disney made it into a cartoon. I was hooked. Disney has seen fit to reboot the series.

I am cautiously optimistic, they could do a great job but I am scared they’ll turn it into some strange kids only computer animated piece of trash like they did with modern Mickey cartoons. I hate that shit. It should be inspired by the comics, look like a proper drawn cartoon and keep the mixture of adult and children themes that make it so great.

The news of this reboot inspired me to re-download a classic game, aptly named DuckTales. It was originally released for the NES but as much as I loved DuckTales I really didn’t like that type of game back in the day. However they have made a re-mastered version, DuckTales: Remastered, and sold it on Steam. I got it, played it and loved it. They used hand draw graphics and as many of the original living voice actors they could. I had so many feels. I’ll be playing the game again soon and making sure to unlock all the bonus stuff they added. Don’t worry, when I start playing it again you’ll all know, all of you!
