The Runty Reviews

KittyAs some of you might know National Novel Writing Month is a non-profit organization that promotes creative writing. As the name implies they challenge people to write a novel in one month, specifically in November.  It’s a pretty big deal and there are thousands of people who participate. You can find more information about them on their webpage, www.nanowrimo.org

So what does that mean for the blog? Well it means a bit lest content this month. I decided to dedicate myself to completing the challenge this year and so far it’s going well. However that much writing does take away from doing more in depth review and articles which got me thinking. There are times when I play a game and I form a strong opinion, but explaining that opinion doesn’t require me to go into much detail about the game. Normally I’d skip it but not anymore.

To that end I’ve decided to add a new category of articles, the Runty Reviews.

In concept a Runty Review will get straight to the point. No long explanations of each of the pros and cons, no little bits about what would fix the game, just a brief summary detailing the pros and cons and then the score.

The first Runty Review will be out shortly, featuring Ascend: Hand of Kul.

In Other News…

I’ve  tinkered a little bit with the sites origination. As you might of noticed the navigation menu now has two new links; Blog News and Reviews. As you’ve no doubt guessed, they will take you to a page that lists all the news concerning the blog, such as this article, and a page that lists all the reviews.
